The grievances of the Agniveers and farmers are seen as major factors for the BJP’s tepid performance in the state during the Lok Sabha elections earlier this year, and the issues are expected to play an even bigger role in next month’s assembly polls.

Interestingly, both political parties have made promises which are similar to each other. The BJP has made 20 election promises, of which five are similar to those made by the Congress.

The Bharatiya Janata Party unveiled its manifesto for the Haryana Assembly elections, featuring promises like MSP on 24 crops, Rs 2,100 monthly aid to women, and guaranteed government jobs for two lakh youths.

BJP also promised scholarships for Haryana students from OBC and SC communities to study in any government medical or engineering college across the country.
