Since Donald Trump won the presidential election, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe has been gloating a bit on social media over the fact that his Madison Square Garden performance was not the disaster for the campaign that many predicted.

But it was largely the guest speakers featured at the rally — not Trump himself — who attracted headlines. Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe in particular generated criticism for calling Puerto Rico “a floating island of garbage.” He also made a crude joke about Latinos, babies and immigration.

The comedian has doubled down and refused to apologize after facing backlash for his set at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally.
